By accessing or using DataSync ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

DataSync is a business intelligence platform designed to help Nigerian SMEs manage their operations, track sales, inventory, and gain AI-powered insights.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use DataSync for legitimate business purposes to manage your business operations, track sales, inventory, expenses, and generate insights.

3.2 Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Use the Service to store or transmit fraudulent data

4.1 Free Plan

Our free plan provides basic features with certain limitations as specified on our pricing page.

4.2 Paid Plans

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
• Payments are processed securely through our payment partners
• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

• You grant us a license to use your data solely to provide the Service
• You can export or delete your data at any time
• We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our services

DataSync may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave, social media platforms). Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

DataSync provides AI-powered business insights and recommendations. Please note:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataSync shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or data breaches beyond our control
• Actions based on AI-generated recommendations

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may also cancel your account at any time through your account settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request a copy of your data before account deletion.

10.1 Active Accounts

While your account is active, DataSync retains all business data you input (sales, expenses, customers, products, inventory, vendors) to provide our services.

10.2 Automatic Archival

To keep your account fast and within storage limits, DataSync automatically archives transactional data (sales and expenses) older than 12 months. Before any data is archived:

• A monthly summary is generated and preserved for every month of data
• Monthly summaries include total revenue, expenses, profit, top products, and trends
• Original records are only removed after summaries are confirmed
• Summary data is retained indefinitely so historical reports remain accurate

10.3 Account Deletion

When a business account is deleted (by an admin or upon request), a 24-hour grace period applies. During this window, the deletion can be cancelled. After 24 hours, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly removed, including:

• All sales, expenses, customers, products, vendors, and inventory records
• Integration configurations and synced data (reviews, trends, weather)
• AI-generated insights, support tickets, and monthly summaries
• User accounts associated with the business

10.4 Integration Data

Data synced from third-party integrations (e.g., payment transactions, weather data, market trends, reviews) is retained for the same duration as your core business data. Disconnecting an integration immediately deletes all data associated with it.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
